I just returned from Las Vegas where I took part in some airbrush demo’s for the “House of Kolor” Stand at the Sema trade show which is held every year at the Las Vegas convention centre.
This was my second year at Sema and I still didn’t get to see all the stuff there. It’s 2 million square feet under roof and I was told if you line the stalls end to end they would span out to 45 km. Definately worth a visit at least once in your lifetime.
What was really great to see was all the custom painting. It certainly still is a growing trend and to see the quality of work on some of the cars it didn’t appear the economic downturn has affected this industry much at all.
There were also quite a few artists demonstrating their work and were eager to chat and share some of their knowledge. I was fortunate enough to meet Rich Evans, Corey Saint Clair, OG Abel, Craig Fraser, Mike Levallee just to name a few! See pics below.
